From a young child Andrew remembers his father teaching him how much Jesus loved him. This love has sustained him throughout his life. The subject of Jesus the Jew was not something he learned at theological college but whilst he was at infants school. He grew up in the East End of London, which at that time was a very Jewish area. Many of his friends were Holocaust survivors. He studied medicine at St Thomas' Hospital, part of the University of London, and later moved from medicine to theology in Cambridge. Studying Judaism became his passion. His life has had great highs and great lows. He has been shot at, kidnapped and persecuted. All of this whilst suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. His love for Jesus, his faith - with its Jewish foundation, underpins all he stands for, does and believes.
